Mind-body analogy

It struck me on Australia day that the drawn out snacking and slow ingestion of alcohol can be compared to feeding the mind junk. In a similar way eating chips and crackers all day will leave a man sluggish, snacking on trumps twitter feed and djokoviches guru will leave the mind lazy, hard to put to work. When we are in a rhythm of hard physical work, we feel strong, energised, confident. We can have fun with our physical health, jumping over benches, doing chin ups off the scaffolding. Similarly, when the mind is held down to hard work it can invite that spirit to visit, the spirit of outside thinking, new ideas and poetic sentiments.
