Synopsis End of Civilisation

Years before the when the catastrophe happened she and her husband had driven into the mountains as deep as their car would go on it’s tank. They made their way into the forest looking for a cave to live in. One night the man walked into their camp, he had seen their fire he said. He brought dried meat and gave them some. He said he knew how to survive out here. He looked at her long without shame. They travelled together, the three. One day the man took her husband hunting but only the man came back. He said they needed to hurry, bandits were about. Husbands dead. She didn’t believe him but he started leaving and she followed. Now they live deep in the woods, they have children. The woman doesn’t have time to think about whether she wants to live in this world or die, she is too concerned with her belly.
